Alumni Events at TTLMakerspace

We are very happy to announce a new program at TTLMakerspace.

As part of our commitment to access and education, anyone who has taken courses in the last year will be receiving special invitations to extra workshops – at no additional charge. We call these special training sessions Alumni Events, and we could not be more excited about them.

Over the last year, hundreds of people have come through the makerspace and received thorough training in our programs such as Design for 3D Print, CNC Milling In-depth, Comprehensive Woodworking, Design for Lasers, and many more.

Alumni Events are a great way to stay engaged with the community, refreshing your skills and getting to know others that share your excitement for some aspect of maker-culture. You can make new friends, get trained on new equipment, and stay up to date with the changes in the makerspace.

To kick things off, we’re working with our friends from Thunder Laser Canada, who have graciously provided us with a high-quality Rotary Attachment for our laser! Anyone who has taken laser training within the last year will be receiving invitations to a special event to demonstrate the tech and get them up to speed with this awesome new addition.

In our courses, we focus on providing the most education possible in a digestible format. In addition to the in-session instruction, we provide additional mentoring every Friday afternoon with access to the instructors and machines.

Even so, it is critical to make use of your skills as soon as possible when you have completed your program. This is the only way to really drive home what you have learned and build up your skills.

Alumni events are designed to get you inspired, and motivate you to keep learning and building.
